4 Month Check-up

Tanner went for his four month check up today. Here are his stats:

Weight: 14 lbs 8 oz (50th percentile)
Length: 24.75 in (50th percentile)
Head: 42 cm (50th percentile)

Apparently we have a very average baby! He checked out fine. He is not quite rolling over completely yet but can get himself about half way and if you give him a little help he can go all the way over from back to front. He has learned how to use his hands so toys are now VERY fun to play with, especially this cookie monster rattle he got for Christmas!

We talked about his flat head in the back and the doctor thinks most of it is genetic but suggested we go get a free consultation where they scan his head and check all kinds of measurements just to be sure. His opinion was that if we got a band or helmet it would be purely for cosmetic reasons as the flatness is on the back of his head and it's getting gradually better so it's really up to us. We'll go for the consult just to get it checked out.

Tanner is still teething like a mad man and we are hoping all these teeth will break through soon. Dr. Bean did say we could introduce rice cereal over the next two months if we want but there is no rush to start him on food until 6 months. He took all his shots much better this time with a lot less screaming. Guess average is good!
