This past weekend I noticed a lump on Che's throat just below his jaw bone. Well it was bigger yesterday and A LOT bigger today. Erin had made an appointment at the vet for 3:00 today and took him in.
It turned out, they think, to be an abscess related to very bad teeth. We knew Che had teeth issues and it is very hard to brush a little dogs teeth. So 4 hours later, one surgery, and 8 pulled teeth poor Che is home. He is high as a kite on narcotics and has a big open wound in his neck that has a drain in it so no more bacteria can grow. He has a bucket around his neck so that he can't get at the wound and we have to give him pain killers and antibiotics. Oh and we have to grind up his dog food and mix it with water so he can eat! He goes back to the vet Friday. He is a very sad puppy tonight and it makes us sad because we feel like bad dog parents that this had to happen to him. Poor Che.

Ick! Was it freaking expensive? We have to take our doggies in for professional cleaning and are waiting to do them one at a time because of the cost. You are right...little dog teeth are such a pain!
