Half Birthday

Today is Tanner's 6 month birthday - half a year old! Seriously, where did the time go?
He had his 6 month check up today and here are his stats:

Weight: 17 pounds, 13 ounces (50%)
Length: 27 inches (75%)
Head Circumference: 43 cm (25 %)

Dr. Bean said Tanner will probably continue to lean out and grow longer in the coming months. Wonder who he gets that from? :) The rest of his check up was fine, even his head is not a concern anymore. He got three shots which he surprisingly did ok with and then fell asleep on the way to day care.

Lately Tanner has found his voice (and it is loud -wonder where he gets that from?) and his little personality is coming out. He can almost sit up unsupported and he loves to play with his toys. He cannot get enough of the exersaucer and I think even has his first lovey - a blue stuffed puppy dog. His teeth are still working their way out so he can be pretty miserable at times but his smiles and giggles and constant baby chatter bring so much joy to our house we could have never imagined. Tanner is in love with Che. He is always looking for him, wanting to pet him and just laughs (or yells) at him daily. It's actually pretty cute to see the two of them interact now. I've always said 6-7 months is my favorite age for babies so having Tanner get to that age and show us something new every day is so much fun.

One hard not to laugh at habit he brought home from day care is this raspberry spitting thing. He does it mainly when he is mad or tired so we captured it on video recently but I am having trouble uploading the video so I will get that up soon!
