All is Well

Tanner had his ear tube surgery this morning. We had to be at the surgery center at 6:45 am for a 7:45 am procedure time. The center was great. Everyone was so nice and Tanner really didn't seem to mind the nurses checking him out, taking his vitals, and having to wear a hospital gown and hat. They gave him some medicine to make him a little sleepy before he went back to the operating room but it was the hardest thing to say goodbye to my baby as they wheeled him to surgery.

The actual procedure took maybe 10 minutes and he did great. The doctor said this should really help his ears and hopefully no more yucky infections! We got to go be with him in recovery as he was waking up which is super sad because he felt so awful and doesn't understand why. The nice nurse was holding him and rocking him and he got some apple juice and once after he seemed alert and ok they sent us home. He ate a waffle (since he had not had anything since 8pm last night) and fell fast asleep.

Here is Tanner getting prepped for surgery...we could not get over how cute he looked and even the nurses kept saying so.
