Everyone Loves a Parade

This past weekend was the UA Homecoming celebration. I don't think I ever actually went to Homecoming as a student but since our friends the Lippert's were coming down from Phoenix and other friends were meeting up at the Eller tent it seemed like a good time to see what UA Homecoming was all about. It was a fun time. We got to the tent with a good amount of time to visit and give some of the kids snacks and then it was time for the parade. I was not sure how Tanner would do with the parade and band but he loved it. He waved at people and even clapped when a large group of sorority girls walked by! We tried to get some pictures of all the little Eller babies but as with kids it's hard to get them to all pay attention at the same time. After a yummy lunch we hung out with the Lippert's for a while before they headed back to Phoenix.

Poor Tanner cannot shake his croup. His cough seemed to settle down a bit after the pink eye but last night he was up coughing so bad it sounded like he was choking. I know it sounds way worse than it is but he was pretty miserable. We sat in a steamy bathroom and tried all kinds of things but the one thing that seems to work, and even our doctor told us to try it, is to sit outside with him in the cool night air. For some reason it calms the cough and sure enough it worked to allow him to sleep somewhat better the rest of the night.

Hopefully tonight he will sleep better and cough less.
